.Quick Bites.

Our last weekend catch up was at Ponsonby Central, a refitted establishment located in the heart of Ponsonby.  It has an eclectic vibe throughout that is mainly amplified by its artisan markets and busy eateries.  The lane ways and exposed brick facade also added to its charm and character.

We found ourselves hovering around Toru and it was a good 15 minute wait for our table, luckily there were plenty of stalls & felt hats to keep us happy.

Soft Polenta with bacon hock, goats curd topped with roast vine tomatoes and poached eggs

We tried a selection of rustic sandwiches which were more like burgers and a serving of polenta & poached eggs.  The overall flavours were well balanced and the crinkle chips definitely hit the spot.

Salted Caramel doughnut

After our quick lunch we decided to grab some treats from Foxtrot Parlour down the other end.  We decided on the salted caramel and berry doughnuts to share among us.  The 'inject-your-own-filling' concept was pretty cool and fun at the same time.  We had a few oozy moments and I did thoroughly enjoy the luscious caramel filling, yum!

That's me, over and out.
