.Our Beachfront Affair.

During our ongoing attempt to chase summer, we ended up braving the weather at Takapuna Beach Café (TBC).  We were also celebrating VL's birthday so needless to say our brunch date was extra special.

With panoramic sea views propped along a beach side promenade, TBC is popular with locals and a highlight among visitors.  This along with winning last year's Metro Supreme award had no doubt contributed to the bustling nature of the café.

We were spoilt for choice but ultimately decided against the usual & settled for a protein packed feast.

Grilled yellow fin tuna in squid ink bun with a side of hand cut fries.

Braised pork belly burger, apple cider relish & hand cut chips

9 hour American Pork and beans.

The squid ink bun was aesthetically pleasing & the tuna steak was seared perfectly.  The pork belly burger was super tasty complimented by a side of hand cut chips.  And the pork & beans proved that something so simple can be jammed packed with flavor!

After dining on delish food with the best of company our brunch slash birthday-do ended on a high.

Lots of love,
PS
